Program Overview · Opera, Kyiv

From October 13 to 19, four performances are scheduled at the National Opera of Ukraine — from ballet classics to a fairy tale for the whole family. If you've been wanting to go to the theater for a while, here are a few reasons to do so.

What to Watch

On Thursday, October 15, at 18:00, the ballet "Le Corsaire" by Adolphe Adam will be shown. The next evening, on Friday, October 16, at 18:00, the Ukrainian opera "Zaporozhets za Dunayem" by Semen Gulak-Artemovsky will be performed. A great choice if you want to spend the evening with classical repertoire.

On Saturday, October 17, at 15:00 — the ballet "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" by Bohdan Pavlovsky, based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. This is a family performance in two acts, so the daytime show could be a great opportunity to go to the theater with your children.

On Sunday, October 18, at 18:00 — "Tosca" by Giacomo Puccini. The opera lasts three hours with two intermissions and is performed in Italian, so plan for a full theatrical evening.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Monday — October 13, 14, and 19 — there are no performances in the mentioned program. Which of these evenings or daytime shows appeals to you the most?
