Horst Arts and Music Festival transforms Belgian industrial site

Horst Arts and Music 2026: when a former industrial zone becomes a living laboratory

If you enjoy festivals where music is intertwined with art and space, Horst Arts and Music is worth your attention. From May 14 to 16, 2026, it will again take place at Asiat Park in Vilvoorde — on the grounds of a former industrial-military site near Brussels.

Not just open-air stages

Horst transforms Asiat Park into a large-scale experimental playground: here, live performances coexist with large art installations and architectural experiments. The industrial past of the location adds character to the festival — instead of a neutral field, you get a space with concrete, former buildings, and a feeling of a temporary city.

In 2026, the program is united by the theme "(R)evolution over repetition" — about change, development, and the rejection of mechanical repetition of familiar forms. Among the announced participants are Daphni, OK Williams, Tasha, Barker, Yu Su, Om Unit, as well as Call Super and Parris.

What to know before you go

The festival will last three days: from Thursday, May 14, to Saturday, May 16. It will operate daily from 1 PM to 2 AM, making it more of a full-day and night adventure than a short concert evening.

The organizers indicate nine stages, about 145 artists, architects, and musicians, as well as over 700 volunteers. Approximately 12,000 visitors are expected each day — enough to feel the scale, but at the same time understand: there will be no quiet intimate strolls here.

An important note for spontaneous travelers: the festival is already marked as completely sold out. The official resale of tickets is expected to take place through Ticketswap, so it's advisable to look for passes only through verified channels.

Is it worth going?

Yes, if you want to not just listen to electronic music, but explore how sound, architecture, and art influence each other. Horst is particularly suitable for those interested in unusual locations, large installations, and a program built around discoveries rather than just big names.

However, if you expect a compact festival with a few stages, a clear program, and minimal movement, Asiat Park may seem too vast. But that’s precisely its appeal: you arrive at an event and find yourself inside a temporary art city.

Would you go to Horst for the music, the installations, or the atmosphere of the former industrial zone?
