Voice. Continuo. Affetti — is one of those evenings where you go not for a loud event, but for an intimate, very lively musical conversation. In Lviv, it was presented as part of the "Virtuosi 45" festival, and the venue was the Mirror Hall of the Lviv National Opera. It started at 19:00 on May 27, 2026.
What is this event about
According to the description from the philharmonic, the program is built around a baroque cantata and the idea of the human voice, continuo, and affections — that is, musical emotions that are revealed not through scale, but through nuance. This format is for those who love attentive listening and appreciate an intimate atmosphere where every phrase sounds close to the listener. Such a concert usually appeals to those who want to not just "be with the music," but truly experience it.
Is it worth going
If you are fond of baroque aesthetics, vocal music, and refined chamber format, then yes — this is a very good choice for the evening. The Mirror Hall of the Lviv Opera adds a special charm to such events: here, not only the performers are important, but also the acoustics and the feeling of space. However, if you are looking for something lighter, entertaining, or a concert with a grand symphonic scale, this evening may seem too delicate.
What is important to know before your visit
The event took place specifically at the Lviv National Opera, not in the usual concert hall of the philharmonic. For such an evening, it is better to arrive a little early to find the hall without haste and get into the right mood. The format here is not about spectacle, but about attentiveness, so it will appeal most to those who love to listen thoughtfully.
